The curriculum is designed to offer challenge, progression, and relevance across all key stages.

Key Stage 3

The KS3 framework allows students’ to have a wider range of experiences and opportunities. Working in 3D, print making, photography, drawing and painting skills. Students are encouraged to self discover.

Key Stage 4

KS4 Art provides students’ with a wide range of creative, exciting and stimulating opportunities to explore interests in Art and Design that are personally relevant and truly developmental in nature. Successful completion of the GCSE course will enable you to go onto Sixth form.

Key Stage 5

Sixth form Art provides students with opportunities to develop personal responses to ideas, observations, experiences, environments and cultures in practical, critical and contextual forms. The students work from their personal strengths to produce a collection of work based on personal choices, with work presented in a final exhibition.

Beyond The Curriculum

The Art Department is committed to offering a variety of extra-curricular Art and craft activities to students of all ages and abilities. We have close links to UCA and use their facilities, and visit to do workshops with students. Students’ are offered opportunities to visit major museums and Art collections during Sixth Form.
