Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Department is a vibrant and exciting place to be. Students have the opportunity to take Dance, Drama and Music at Keystage 3 and specialise in any of these disciplines in Keystage 4 and 5.

Visits to local and London Arts Venues is an active part of the curriculum, as is the welcoming of visiting Tutors from the industry.

The department has links with the profession organisations such as Pineapple, Laban, National Youth Theatre, Mandy Ellen Performing Arts and Weston College to name but a few. Through these connections students are able to access a wealth of arts experiences.

Through their time in Performing Arts at the academy students have the opportunity to take Arts Awards, Leadership Awards alongside standard curriculum qualifications

The Arts can transform lives. They give us the power to question, to confront, to explore and to challenge how we think about the world.
